La VBD places great importance on making the website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.
What has been done on the website
- Semantic HTML structure with clear headings and navigation
- A "Skip to main content" link at the start of every page
- Support for full keyboard navigation, including in the mobile menu and the FAQ
- Alt text for images
- Support for right-to-left (RTL) writing direction and screen readers
- Color contrast chosen with text readability in mind
Accessibility status
The website was designed and built with the accessibility principles above in mind, but has not yet undergone a full formal accessibility audit against the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard by a certified accessibility auditor. We are working to complete such an audit.
