A 3-4 room apartment in reasonable condition usually takes a professional team between half a day and a full day of work. A larger apartment, or one that just underwent renovation, may take longer due to dust and work residue.
The right time to schedule the cleaning is after all the tradespeople have finished (electrician, painter, flooring installer) and before furniture is brought in. Cleaning done too early can get dirty again from work that hasn't been completed yet.
It's best to schedule the cleaning one to two days before the actual move-in date, so there's time to respond if something needs extra attention.
